“Contempo” Jarrah TV Cabinet

Clean and simply styled

This piece is probably a bit different from most of my work.

Made as a floor piece I felt something of a renewal in me and wanted to make something clean, simple and strong . . .. And this is it..!

Although very simple in style and appearance this work was not an easy task—the timbers are very heavy at 30 to 35mm thick, and this is not really a small piece at 1500 w x 750h x 640 d.

The drawer has a fully timber paneled bottom and is Heavy duty full extension runners.

The Satin Chromed handles add to the contemporary look of the piece ~ hence the name “ Contempo”

At a later time , if it does not find a home in time, I am thinking to add a couple modules to each side in the same style including another drawer and shelf set. . . . Maybe . .!

If offered in one of the fine upmarket Galleries as a piece of Studio Furniture You would expect to pay in the region of between $3500 and $4500, but as I live on dried bread and a bit of water, and Jean is constantly telling me to “go up North” for a real job ~ you will appreciate that my asking price of $2995 is most reasonable indeed. And it is that time of year when we get a new loaf of bread . . .
