Text Box: Some things to look for when buying your new Furniture. Look for consistency in the feature of the timber. That the colour is ‘alive’ with a vibrant patina and has depth to it. See that the grain and figure in the timber looks balanced throughout the piece. Check that the doors and drawers open smoothly and evenly Also ~ cast your eye over the set and fit of the doors and drawers ~ they should sit evenly with a uniform gap all around. If these points all look correct when viewing your new piece, it is likely it has been made locally by a caring and skilled craftsman. If the doors look misaligned, the drawers are uneven and do not operate smoothly, with obviously mismatched grain across the face ~ then it is inferior and likely made offshore in CHINA, and presented here as locally made. If the colour ~ especially in Jarrah, is too even ,and lacks natural variations of feature and colour ~ then it is likely to have been made of inferior material ( probably offshore) and has been stained or tinted to disguise this. AND ANOTHER THING . . .. ! Here in Australia , we have drawers. . Not ‘draws’ ~ a draw is something you do with a pencil , not use in in furniture. Anyone who is trying to flog furniture with “draws” is not serious about the product they are trying to flog . .. So there . . .!

Our new Workshop and Showroom is located in the Light Industrial Area of Nannup. Directly opposite the Timber Mill (NTP) and fronting Vasse Highway.
